Welcome to Baleshare Bothies! We are a small family run business consisting of two, cosy, self-catering glamping pods situated in the peaceful crofting community of Baleshare, North Uist in the Outer Hebrides.
We are located a short walk from the shore of Baleshare Beach, where there are breath-taking views all around.
Our pods Heisgeir (named after The Monach Islands) and Hiort (named after the largest island in the St Kilda archipelago) are available all year round.
Each pod is hired out separately, however you are welcome to book the two pods at the same time depending on availability.
Our two identical pods can each comfortably sleep 2 people, allowing room for a maximum of 4 people
with 1 small double bed and 1 small double sofa bed.
Each pod offers:
- Small double bed
- Two seater small double sofa bed
- Lavatory with wash hand basin and freestanding shower
- Equipped kitchenette
- Electric hob
- Microwave
- Small fridge freezer
- Electric kettle and toaster
- Folding 4 seat dining table and chairs
- Small television
- Electric heater
- Outdoor dining area with picnic bench and firepit/grill
- Bed linen and towels are provided on arrival
Private parking is available in a small carpark to the side of the pods.
Dogs are permitted to stay in our Hiort pod (a maximum of 2 dogs per stay) and are charged at £10 per dog.
Smoking is not permitted in the pods.
